What is a blog? A blog (short for web log) is a user generated website where entries are made in journal style and displayed in a reverse chronological order.  Blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject, such as food, politics, or local news; some function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links with the ability for readers to leave comments in an interactive format. The term "blog" is a portmanteau -- a blend of the words web and log (Web log). "Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.  In November 2006, blog search engine Technorati was tracking more than 57 million blogs.

 Why care about blogs?  Blogs are increasingly influential media/communication venues.  No longer does the MSM (main stream media) hold the public hostage to their monopoly of information and opinion.  With the MSM increasingly slanted leftward, against life, liberty, and our pursuit of happiness, blogs provide a welcome parallel media where one can test MSM reportage accuracy and bias.  Note, however, that blogs all reflect the bias of their authors and commenter – both left, center, and right.  But YOU get to decide…click on a link below and check ‘em out!
